Sweet Potato Halwa Healthy Cooking (Shakarkandi Halwa)
Sweet potatoes are rich source of fibre which contains Vitamins and Minerals.These are healthy vegetables which helps in Cancer-Fighting and Immune-Boosting.Sweet potato is rich in beta carotene and many other nutrients that help in strengthening your child`s vision.it also helps in reducing the risk of eye related problems.
Ingredients
- Sweet potato - 4 Medium Sized
- Milk-1 and 1/2 cup
- Honey - 1 table spoon or (coconut sugar) depends on the sweetness you can opt.
- Cardamom powder- 1/4 or 1/2 tea spoon
- Almonds
- Cashew
- Pista
- Melon Seeds
- Ghee - 3 to 5 Table spoon
- Water - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Kesar - optional
How to Prepare
- Wash the Sweet Potatoes Well and cook it for 4 to 5 Whistles.
- Once it cook Well Cool down it completely and peel down its skin and mash them properly.
- Add ghee to a bowl and fry all dry fruits ,and keep it aside.
- Take a pan add ghee to it
- Add the Mashed Sweet Potato and stir for few minutes
- Add Milk,Honey,Cardamom powder and little water (as per consistency)
- Add all the dry fruits which we fried
- Cook for few minutes in simmer
- Yummy its ready to serve
